A little over 2 years ago God brought a guy into our church who ended up becoming one of my dearest brothers. He started off as just a member of Refresh then our worship leader and one of my co-leaders. Words can’t really explain how big of an impact he has played in our ministry and in my life personally. Sadly in a couple weeks he will be moving and starting a new chapter of his life in Boston.
Tomorrow will be his last time leading praise and prayer night for Refresh. When we first started doing this praise and prayer nights there were times when we didn’t have any volunteers to lead with him so I filled in a handful of times playing the cajon and singing. For old times sake I decided to volunteer to lead with him one last time before he goes.
We met up tonight to prepare and practice for tomorrow. To be honest almost the whole time we were playing together I was filled with emotions and a lot ran through my head. But the biggest thing was having a truly thankful heart.
I am so thankful to have had the privilege to serve with this brother for over 2 years and grow with him as sons of Christ. We have had so many amazing memories but out of them all my fondest are the times we were able to worship together. So to be able to worship side by side with him one last time is such a blessing. It’s awesome how God brought us together in worship and is finishing this chapter off in worship.
I saw God today.
